Portfolio Reviews

Written Portfolio Review
A written review of a selection of your work with clear, detailed feedback on what’s working, what to develop, and what to focus on next.

Face-to-Face Portfolio Review
This includes everything in the written review, but in more depth. We meet online to go through your work together, with space for questions and more tailored, practical guidance. You’ll also receive written notes afterwards to refer back to.

A portfolio review will help you refine and strengthen your work so you are presenting your strongest pieces with clarity and consistency.

It will give you a clear understanding of your strengths, highlight areas for improvement, and show you how to develop your portfolio so it becomes more compelling and commercially focused—helping you attract more clients, publishers, and commissions.

A professional portfolio review will:

-    Curate your work so you are showing your strongest pieces and creating a more consistent overall feel.

-    Identify your strengths so you can build on them and develop more visually compelling illustrations.

-    Highlight areas that are not working and may be bringing down the overall standard of your portfolio, which could be affecting your ability to secure commissions.

-    Strengthen your positioning in the market—either by securing more work within your current focus and developing your illustrations to reach a wider client base,

-   Understand how you can expand into additional areas for multiple income streams.

Understanding these key points will help you attract the attention of publishers, clients, and agents, and move your work more effectively into the commercial space so you can secure more commissions. By the end of the review, you will have clear next steps.
